| After long days and many phone calls, I have finally got the information together for the upcoming MBC Championships.
With the current state of the economy and the limited time available to me to secure boats for the championships, I have determined it just is not possible for this years championships.
I apologize to all of you that it took so long to get this information to you but I did not get the answer until yesterday.
With that said, I have determined the best course of action is to make all the championships a cash payout of 100%. This cash payout will be from the entry fee's which will go to the winner with the side pots being distributed as usual. Additionally, I am still working on acquiring additional cash to be thrown in from the sponsors and have already been successful in getting some.
Again, I completely understand your feelings about this whole situation and have been trying as hard as possible and am still trying to make all these championships the best possible for this year. In addition, I am working on next years and things are looking a little better as far as the boat is concerned. If a deal is made it will be under contract to guarantee you will get to fish for a boat next year. However, we will also have to have the needed participation levels to secure a boat for next year and I don’t think with this economy it is going to be easy if participation is low. One idea and it is just that, an idea; is to have Seniors, Super Teams, Couples and Pro-Am fish in one big championship.
One thing I will say and guarantee is all MBC Tournaments will be ran fairly and honestly. And hopefully everyone will have a good time and catch a lot of fish.
